A busy day

Today was quite a day for the Kershners. Georgia had a rough night with Eli, so for a change Eli and I were the first one's up. Avery thought it was very fun to have other people awake and ready to play when he got up (Those would be the PJ pictures on Picasa). Georgia took Avery grocery shopping so Eli could have his long nap (today that was only 30 minutes). After groceries we headed to mall for some clothes shopping. I don't have pictures of this because quite frankly I am looking forward to forgetting that adventure. Who wants pictures of angry parents and cranky kids anyways? We did find clothes though. Then we headed to the duckpond which turned out to be a good trip. We saw water snakes, fish jumping, and dragon flies (there are pictures of this on Picasa). Then Georgia and Eli were ready for naps, so Avery and I rounded out the day at the small park up the street. Avery got to scoop dirt, his favorite hobby, and I got to take pictures, my favorite hobby. The picture here is from that part of the day. All in all a productive and fun day.

More Lighting fun

More fun with my new flash snoot. (For Emily: I bought a PC chord so I do not have to use the optical trigger I sent you the picture of. It is much more reliable and does not flood the picture with the extra flash. I would have lost the reflection in this picture with the extra flash on.)

A Grandm's Love

Georgia had a work get together to go to this evening so me and the boys headed to Ashland to Visit with Grandma. We had a nice dinner and a good visit. It was pretty late to be out with Eli so he we not up for much but being walked around. Poor Grandma only got to hold him for a minute or two. It takes the love of a Grandma to keep smiling through that kind of cranky.

Fun with lighting

I made a new attachment for my flash. There are a few more examples on the Picasa page. I liked this one the best. I even took this with a rescue helicopter rope around my ear and an Avery on my neck. I like to think of it as EXTREME PHOTOGRAPHY.

Adventures in Backhoe Driving

The kids and I stopped to talk to my origihnal TKD instructor. He is building himself a new house and had his small backhoe onsite to dig trenches for utilites. He let Avery run it all by himself. Avery even started to het the hang of what the levers did. There are a couple of more pictures here http://picasaweb.google.com/ryonkershner/September25

I don't like pickles :(

We had hamburgers tonight for dinner. Avery asked for a pickle. He then said "I don't like pickles" and took a bit. Judging from below he was correct. He is also starting to have imaginary friends. It took an extra 10 minutes to get George in the house a couple of nights ago. Today Georgia said he and his friends were ducks, complete with duck pond and duck food. Well I must stop blogging to go visit Karen's blog because she just texted Georgia and told her too. Isn't technology great!

Eli seems to like eating

Today is Eli's third day of eating and he is starting to get the hang of it. He ate 1/2 of jar of the pears today. He also had his 6 month appointment. He is looking good I am told he weighed in at 15lbs. 12 oz. (25%) and he was 26" tall(40%).
