Poor Amanda

On the way home from daycare Avery Announced that Aunt Amanda was sick and we needed to go to her house and taker her to the hospital in the truck. I said "you want me to drive to Aunt Amanda's house and driver her to the Hospital in the truck?" He said "No me". Figuring what ever ailment Amanda had was safer then being taken to the hospital by a 3 year old driver we opted to stay home. Sorry Amanda.

Mom aint to happy

The Kershners have their indoor photo shoot tomorrow. As you can see, Avery was little hard on his face
this weekend. First he stepped out of his booster seat into the bead maze and cut the inside of his lip. A couple of hours later he was using his dump truck as a cherry picker (not a good idea as it turns out) and fell and cut the outside of his lip on the other side. Then two minutes later he fell face first into his large metal dump truck. He almost took out an eye but just ended up with a bruied cheek. So, as you can see, he is slightly beat up. Then today Daddy got to go to work. I spend about 6 hours construction staking. Who needs sunscreen in in October? Appartly I do. Daddy is a little red. So we might have a group makeup session tomorrow. I hope she does not put to much rouge on me :(.

That's not good!

Has anyone ever had one child try to knock a leaf out of the other childs mouth with a rake handle? That's not good!

Pictures

It is now 7:00 we need to be out the door at 9:00 to make it to Ashland for our family pictures at 10:00. Eli did not sleep much and was brought into bed at a time unknown to me. Avery had one nightmare in the night at about 4:45. I have been up more or less since then. Georgia went in for a 20 minute nap because she got no sleep. What I am trying to say is we should look beautiful for our pictures.

Update:
It is now 8:40 Georgia is putting on makeup Eli is asleep and no one is dressed for the pictures yet. I do have some snacks ready.

Final Update:
We made it! We pulled into the park and just as we were getting out of the car as the photographer walked by. Perfect timing. We were all a little red nosed from the cold we are currently sharing, but the kids did well and the photographer was pleases with how things went. The colors in the park were fantastic! They said the pictures would be up on the web in a week or so. We will keep everybody informed.

Maybe he should have been Oscar for Halloween

I am thinking now that he should be Oscar the Grouch, rather then a cowboy. I might get tired of pushing the yard wast around though.

Walking Moon

Avery has been quite interested in the moon the last few weeks. Someone told him it was a waxing moon. He took this to mean it was a walking moon. He has inquired several times as to the fact that if it is a walking moon where are the legs? Now the moon is full and he is thoroughly confused.

Thats not a pocket son

Today was quite a day. I stayed home from work because I am not feeling so well. Georgia took the kids for a walk and Avery found some seeds from a tree to show me. He put them in his pocket and they headed home. After the walk it was lunch and and then nap time. We are trying to get Eli used to the crib so we put Avery to sleep in our bed. I read him books and returned to my perch on the couch. A few minutes later he started crying. I had not heard a thud so I was not to excited about it. Georgia went in to check on him and I suddenly heard her commanding him not to sniff in. Yes you guessed it the seed was up his nose. We tried to get it out with the sniffer and even tweezers but we had no luck. I will tell you this if you want to make a kid mad pin him to the bed and shove things up his nose. So we rushed him to the doctors office where they got us in right away. The doctor informed us it was a routine problem. So Georgia held his feet. I held most of the middle of him and nurse held his head. The Doctor almost got it back out on the first try but it went back in. Then he put his finger behind it and shoved at the same time as he was pulling with his instrument and POP! out it came. The one in his nose turned out to be larger then the one his still had in his pocket. While we were there we squeezed in his three year appointment and he is looking well. He was 38.5 inches tall and about 32 lbs. Everything else looked good. I only thought kids stuck stuff up there nose on sitcoms on TV. Below is an example seed to show you what was up his nose.

From Avery's Birthday

Friday, October 10, 2008

It's Sombody's Birthday I wonder Who?

Yes Avery turned three yesterday! Wow how time flies. It was a busy day as it was also a daycare day. We woke up, got ready, kissed Aunt Amanda and Mom good buy and headed out the door. We stopped off and picked up doughnuts to share with his friends at school. He chose sprinkles on his doughnuts of course. After work I picked him up and it took us three tries to actually leave the school. There was the first try of course, then the below picture happened. It was quite funny. It took the teachers a few moments to figure out why all the kids were glued to the window. After I finally got him to the truck I discovered a poopy diaper. Back we went. Try two I discovered a missing backhoe, and back we went. By this time Eli was well.... not happy. We found the backhoe after a school wide search resting near the sign out sheet at the front door (Avery likes to sign Eli and Himself out after school which involves scribbling all over the sheet). I felt confident on the departure this time so out the door I headed, to discover no Avery? I turned around, screaming Eli in hand, do discover Avery getting a hug from one of the girls in his school. When she let go Avery headed out the door only to be stopped by another little girl for a hug. It was very very cute, even with a screaming Eli in my ear. This time we made it home skipping the promised visit to the train yard, due to the screaming. There is another promised train yard visit scheduled for today.

Mom got home shortly there after and we opened up a few presents. He wanted sausage and Broccoli for dinner so I made a quick store run and made it back just in time to try out his new scooter. After dinner it was to bed. All in all a hectic day but it worked out in the end.

We had Eli's Dr. appointment yesterday and all his kidney problems seem to have resolved themselves. We feel very blessed that he is okay now. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
